Age: 20 Cello, Vocalist
Began playing cello at age 3, by junior high school participated in string ensembles, formed a duo-cello, as she began her musical career.
At 15, participated in ancient music concerts, and played the baroque cello. Up until today she has been a part of many recitals, and joint concerts.
Close to the end of her junior high period, she began producing music and first took the stage at her school’s culture festival.
During her first year in high school, she was a member of the music club. Also expressed herself through music and considered music as a career.
She then applied to an audition sponsored by Sony Music, and magnificently made it to the finalists. Signs with Def Star Records.

Her Europe Release
February 11, 2009- Kanon Wakeshima’s first album is released throughout Europe, including France and Germany. The Europe release date is a week before her release date in Japan.
She sings the theme song for the manga “Vampire Knight” a top-chart hit in Europe. The Anime release is scheduled for next summer.

Also with the popularity of Japan’s Visual Kei boom in Europe, she is the first single person to be known as a Visual-Kei icon. She is also the first female produced artist for Mana. The over heating Japan Boom in Europe is currently focused on Kanon Wakeshima.

Scheduled Performance in Paris
On the date of her album release in Europe, February 11, 2009, she performed live in the popular record store FNAC at the worldly known Champs-Élyees.

The following day, February 12, she performed at the La Bellevilloise arena in Paris and formalized her shows a concert-type live event.
