Biography

A Visual Kei band composed of seven members, jealkb was initially formed by haderu and elsa in January 2005, at which time they began their songwriting and composition. They also began performing concerts at the same time, and just ten months after their formation they held a solo concert at Ebisu LIQUID ROOM which was a huge success.

Their debut single "metronome" was released the following year and ranked #1 on the indies chart. Their debut single was followed by another three singles and one album all released under an indies label. They also held a Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka tour beginning with Shibuya AX which was a great success.

In October 2007 they made their major debut with the release of their single "Chikai", and went on to hold their first solo concert at ZEPP TOKYO, and release two more singles. They even went beyond the normal scope of Visual Kei, with their songs being used as an airline campaign song, a high school image song, and other things.

In the summer of 2008, they performed in the large-scale outdoor music festival, SETSTOCK '08, an unprecedented feat for a Visual Kei band. And jealkb's fan base continues to expand even outside of Japan, such as in Taiwan where they've gained great popularity.
